Special Traffic Plan for Colombo
To facilitate the procession, the Police Media Division has announced a special traffic plan.
The procession will begin at the temple and follow the route:

Hunupitiya Lake Road
W.A.D. Ramanayake Mawatha
Sir James Peiris Mawatha
Uththarananda Mawatha
Staple Street
Braybrooke Place
Braybrooke Roundabout
Returning to Jinarathana Mawatha
Temporary Road Closures:
W.A.D. Ramanayake Mawatha (Hunupitiya Wewa Road Junction)
Colvin R. De Silva Mawatha (Union Place, Hyde Park Corner Junction)
Alternative Routes for Traffic During Temporary Road Closures:
Traffic on James Peiris Mawatha:
Traffic from Company Street Junction: Proceed via Union Place to Lipton Roundabout
Turn right at the Navam Mawatha Junction, follow Navam Mawatha, then turn left at the Navam Mawatha Uttarananda Mawatha Junction, proceeding along Uththarananda Mawatha towards Liberty Roundabout
Traffic from Pittala Junction: Proceed via Dharmapala Mawatha to Union Place
The police have emphasized that only roads within the procession route will be closed during the event, and normal traffic flow will be allowed in areas outside of the procession’s path.
