People are on a long march in Pakistan.

The march is being called the ‘long march,’ and it will cover nearly 400 kilometers. Thousands of people are participating in a demonstration to demand early elections in Pakistan.

The marchers  start on Friday in Lahore and end in Islamabad.

Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his supporters are putting pressure on a government that is already struggling.

Caravans of people are pushing for snap elections and joining Khans opposition.

The removal of Khan from office through a parliamentary vote and last week’s ruling that he cannot run for office for five years have been used to fan the anti-government flames.

“This march is not political or religious, nor is it for elections or for gaining power. I want to make Pakistan free, that’s the only reason for the rally. Imran Khan said reporters.
