1904 hotline from the Office of the Commissioner General of Essential Services

The Office of the Commissioner General of Essential Services has introduced the 1904 hotline to quickly report complaints and difficulties in accessing essential services across the country.

The hotline can be used to report issues related to electricity supply, hospitals and emergency medical services, public transport and supplies, water supply and sanitation, food and essential commodities, telecommunications and information and communication technology services, and irrigation and other essential public services published under the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2464/29, said the Commissioner General of Essential Services, Prabath Chandrakeerthi.

He further stated that this program has been introduced to ensure timely response, better coordination and efficient resolution to complaints received from the public in the event of emergencies or service disruptions.
