The Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs is no more in Seat!
It is reported that the Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs of the Ministry of Buddhasasana and Religious Affairs, Premasiri Ratnayake, has been removed from his post on charges of not performing his duties properly.
Kasun Wellahewa, who was serving as the Additional Commissioner of the department, has been appointed as the Acting Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs for the vacant post.
The Ministry of Buddhasasana and Religious Affairs stated that the decision to remove Mr. Premasiri Ratnayake from his post on charges of not performing his duties properly was a decision taken by the Cabinet.
The Ministry of Buddhasasana and Religious Affairs had leveled charges against the Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs, Premasiri Ratnayake, for not performing his duties properly.
