Prime Minister participates in the “Women Seeking Justice – Our Past and Future” Exhibition

The exhibition showcased audio-visual and artistic presentations by Sri Lankan women activists who stand against enforced disappearances, land dispossession, forced evictions, and gender-based violence rooted in patriarchal structures. The primary aim of the event was to highlight the collaborative efforts of women activists from various regions across the country.
This exhibition was a central component of a research project focused on sustaining the struggle for women’s justice in Sri Lanka and fostering reconciliation and peace. The research project is led by Dr. Farrah Mihlar, Senior Lecturer in Human Rights at the Centre for Development and Emergency Practice (CENDEP) of Oxford Brookes University, who was also present at the event.
