Flights from Colombo to Jaffna begin
Domestic flight service from Ratmalana to Jaffna Peninsula again began yesterday, the 01st of July, the manager at Ratmalana Airport, Aruna Rajapaksa said.
A passenger will have to pay Rs. 22,000.00 as one way cost and for the double way would be Rs. 41,500.00. A passenger is allowed 7kg baggage.
According to Manager Rajapaksa, the flight time is about one hour and ten minutes.
The two private companies providing the service will operate flights on Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays.
And the maiden flight Cessna 208 had 12 people on board, said Manager.
