Occasional rain in several provinces

The Department of Meteorology informs that there will be occasional showers in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces and in the Matale and Nuwara Eliya districts.

There may be several spells of rain in the Northwestern Province.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at some places in other areas after 2:00 PM. Fairly heavy showers exceeding 50 mm may occur at some places in the Northern, Eastern, Uva, and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Matale and Polonnaruwa districts.

Foggy conditions will prevail at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the early hours.
