North Western Provincial Council Employees Donate One Day’s Salary to ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund
Employees of the North Western Provincial Council have donated a sum of Rs. 12,249,222, representing one day’s salary, to the Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund established to restore livelihoods and rebuild the country following the devastation caused by the Diṭwah cyclone.
Accordingly, the cheque was handed over on Friday (09) at the Presidential Secretariat by Commissioner of Cooperative Development of the North Western Province, Mr. Wasantha Gunasekara, to Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
Secretary to the North Western Provincial Ministry of Agriculture Mr. E. M. M. S. Ekanayake, Director of the Road Development Department Mr. N. P. Kumarasinghe, Accountant of the North Western Provincial Council Ms. Anupama Abeysinghe, Zonal Director of Education Kuliyapitiya Ms. Bandulani Basnayake and Community Development Officer Ms. Ajanta Weerasekara were also present at the event.
