Construction of new houses to replace those damaged by cyclone Ditwah to commence tomorrow
Under the Rebuilding Sri Lanka programme, the inaugural phase of the construction of new houses and the payment of compensation to replace homes that were completely damaged by cyclone Ditwah will commence tomorrow (09) in the Anuradhapura and Kurunegala districts under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Accordingly, inaugural housing construction programmes will be held for affected communities in the areas of Galnewa, Handungama and Rajanganaya Sirimapura in the Anuradhapura District, and in Nikaweratiya, Withikuliyaya Junction and Ridigama Dodamgaslanda in the Kurunegala District.
These projects are being implemented under the Government’s programme to provide relief to people affected by the disaster situation caused by cyclone Ditwah.
