Multiple Financial Contributions Made to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund
Financial contributions from local and international institutions and philanthropists continue to be received daily by the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to restore livelihoods and rebuild the country in the aftermath of the Ditwah cyclone.
Accordingly, cheques were presented yesterday afternoon (17) at the Presidential Secretariat to the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, as follows:
Rs. 20 million by Dr. Walter Samarasinghe, Chairman of Super Feed (Pvt) Ltd, Rs. 10 million by W. G. S. G. Mithrapala, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society and Rs. 2 million by Nandalal Jayanetti, Chairman/Managing Director of Classic Impressions (Pvt) Ltd, together with his spouse.
