Rs. 10 Million Contribution to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund
People’s Leasing & Finance PLC has contributed Rs. 7.5 million and People’s Insurance PLC has contributed Rs. 2.5 million to the government’s “Rebuilding Sri Lanka” Fund, established to provide relief to communities affected by the recent Ditwah cyclone.
The respective cheques were handed over yesterday afternoon (11) at the Presidential Secretariat to Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, by Mr. Sanjeewa Bandaranayake, Chief Executive Officer of People’s Leasing & Finance PLC and Ms. Jeevani Kariyawasam, Chief Executive Officer of People’s Insurance PLC.
Professor Ajantha Kumara Samarakoon, Chairman of People’s Leasing & Finance PLC, was also present at the occasion.
