Protests in Mannar against the construction of wind farms have ended!
The ongoing protest demanding to halt the construction of wind farms in the Mannar district and the refusal to grant permission for mineral sand mining has been decided to end today (15).
They have been protesting for 105 days regarding the construction of wind farms, and it is reported that they have ended this protest in the hope that the government will give a fair response to their demands.
On the night of September 27th, the people of the area started this protest against the turbines and other equipment required for the wind farms.
