Sri Lanka Customs Records Historic Rs. 27.7 Billion in Single-Day Revenue; Annual Target to Be Achieved Next Week
Sri Lanka Customs has achieved a historic milestone by collecting a record Rs. 27.7 billion in revenue on November 6 , the highest single-day collection in the country’s history.
The previous record was Rs. 24.4 billion, set on October 15, 2025.
Customs Director Chandan Punchihewa stated that total collections have now reached Rs. 2,066.7 billion, bringing the department close to its annual target of Rs. 2.115 trillion. He added that the target is expected to be achieved within the next three days, with prospects of surpassing it before the year’s end.
