President to Present 2026 Budget Today!
The Budget for the year 2026 is scheduled to be presented to Parliament by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, today (07) at 1.30 p.m.
The first reading of the 2026 Budget, or Appropriation Bill, was presented to Parliament on September 26. The Budget Speech, also known as the Second Reading, will be delivered by the President tomorrow, followed by a parliamentary debate that will continue until December 05.
