The Front Line Socialist Party writes the IGP

Duminda Nagamuwa, the Propaganda Secretary of the Front Line Socialist Party, writes the Inspector General of Police, to obtain the RTI information about the Sept 2nd attack on the Front Line Socialist Party – FLSP Yakkala office by Govt-backed goons.

Request for information regarding an incident on 02.09.2025 under the Right to Information Act

I kindly request you to provide us with the following information under the Right to Information Act regarding the incident in which a group of NPP and JVP forcibly entered the Gampaha District Office of the Frontline Socialist Party at No. 49/53/B, Salmal Uyana, Kirindiwela Road, Yakkala on September 02, 2025 at around 6 am, assaulted the people present there, dragged them out and took over the office.

1. What complaints have been filed with the Yakkala Police regarding this incident? What are the complaint numbers? Who filed the complaints?
2. Has any of the NPP and JVP who entered the place made any complaint to the police or made an emergency notification under number 119 regarding this incident?
3. If so, what was the time, number and person who made the complaint?
4. What action did the police take regarding the complaint?
5. From which Police stations were police officers deployed to the Yakkala Office (put the correct address) on the 02.09. 2025?
6. Who gave the order to deploy the Police Officers? The names and ranks of the Officers who gave the orders to deploy the Police officers is requested
7. Who gave the order to deploy Special Task Force to the above-mentioned Yakkala premises on that morning?
8. How many police officers and STF officers were deployed ?
9. How many jeeps, trucks, police buses, tractors and other vehicles were called separately?
10. Who gave the order to deploy the said vehicles? Name and rank of the Officers who issued the order.
11. What was the cost of the entire operation?
12. Has the police acted on the complaints made regarding the incident, considering it as a civil offense? Or did it consider as a criminal offense?
13. What action has been taken so far regarding the complaint filed by the aggrieved party due to this illegal entry, assault and theft of goods?
14. On what legal basis has the place been given extensive police security since September 2nd?
15. Who gave the order to provide the above mentioned premises with police security ? Name and rank of officer/officers who gave the order?
