Intelligence services warn the government about a ‘threat’ – Anura Kumara
The government was alerted by the state intelligence services in a recent report that overseas Sri Lankans and the Retired Tri-Forces Forum of the National People’s Power (NPP) played a significant role in the NPP’s win, according to NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Addressing the NPP’s tri-forces forum in Colombo, he mentioned that the intelligence services have asked the government to investigate the issue in their report.
According to him, the report highlighted that the support from overseas Sri Lankans and the mobilization of retired military personnel are two key factors that will not hinder the NPP’s success.
Dissanayake noted that the retired military personnel have played a significant role in ensuring NPP’s success.
