National Lotteries Board Provides Financial Support for Children of Lottery Sales Agents!
The National Lotteries Board on Thursday (06) provided financial support for the educational assistance programme launched by the President’s Fund for the children of low-income lottery sales agents, commencing in 2026.
The relevant cheque was presented by Chairman of the National Lotteries Board M. D. Cyril Anton Perera to Secretary of the President’s Fund and Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage.
Implemented with the approval of the Board of Governors of the President’s Fund, the inaugural ceremony of this programme is scheduled to be held on 23 August in Anuradhapura, under the patronage of Speaker of Parliament Dr Jagath Wickramaratne and Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development Wasantha Samarasinghe.
The programme has been introduced as a gesture of appreciation towards lottery sales agents, recognising their contribution to the President’s Fund through the revenue generated from lottery sales.
Applications for this educational assistance programme are currently being accepted through all Divisional Secretariats across the island.
