The Newly Appointed Commander of the Sri Lanka Army calls on Prime Minister
The newly appointed 26th Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Nilantha Premaratne met with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at Temple Trees on 05 August.
This was the first official meeting between the Prime Minister and the newly appointed Army Commander following his assumption of duties.
In keeping with the longstanding tradition of meeting the Prime Minister upon assuming office, Lieutenant General Premaratne visited Temple Trees, and exchanged commemorative mementoes with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya extended her congratulations to Lieutenant General Nilantha Premaratne on his appointment as the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army.
