Voyage Sri Lanka 2025: The initiative to harness the power of Sri Lanka’s blue economy
Voyage Sri Lanka 2025, the international marine summit organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), concluded successfully at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo, drawing over 250 delegates from six countries.
Held under the theme “Unveiling the Blue Economy Potential of Sri Lanka,” the event showcased the nation’s growing role in marine innovation and sustainable development. Ministers, industry experts, and investors explored opportunities in shipbuilding, offshore energy, fisheries, and nautical tourism.
Three expert panel discussions highlighted key areas such as Trincomalee’s strategic role, offshore oil and gas exploration, and the synergy between boat building and nautical tourism.
The summit fostered productive partnerships, B2B meetings, and policy dialogues—solidifying Sri Lanka’s position as a rising maritime hub in the Indian Ocean.
