Yaldevi Express to Run on Adjusted Schedule from Oct 7–18
The Railway Department has announced that the Yaldevi Express will operate with adjusted schedules from October 7 to 18 due to essential maintenance work on the Northern Railway Line. The maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of train services along this key route connecting the northern and southern regions of the country.
During this period, the revised departure times are as follows:
Colombo Fort: 6.40 am
Vavuniya Railway Station: 2.15 pm
Kankesantura: 11.00 am
The department has advised passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and noted that those who have already reserved seats on the Yaldevi Express during this period are eligible to cancel or reschedule their tickets without penalties.
