“Official Language Week”!
The government has declared an “Official Language Week” on the occasion of “Official Language Day”, and it will be held from July 01 to July 07, focusing on the Mullaitivu district, said Deputy Minister of Justice and National Integration Munir Mulaffar.
He also emphasized that the government will take steps to build national unity and move the country forward, as stated when assuming power.
“It is the responsibility of the government to provide every citizen with the ability to fulfill their basic needs in their own language,” said Deputy Minister Munir Mulaffar.
The Deputy Minister emphasized these points at a media briefing held at the Government Information Department yesterday, June 30 to inform the media about the Official Language Day and its programs.
